Classes & Workshops
Class Cancellation Policy
We operate a strict 6-hour cancellation policy for all our classes. For cancellations made with less than 6 hours notice or if you do not turn up for your class, you will be charged the full class price. All cancellations should be made via our website, we do not accept cancellations by phone or by email.
Workshops & Courses Cancellation Policy
We will provide a full refund (less a 10% admin fee) for cancellations made more than 28 days before the start date of a course or workshop. For any other cancellations there will be no refunds or transfers unless your place can be filled from a waiting list, in which case we will refund the fee (less a 10% admin fee). If a course or workshop is cancelled you will be offered a refund or the option of being transferred to an alternative event. Once you have committed to a course or workshop, we recommend that you attend the scheduled number of sessions to get the most out of the programme.
Membership Cancellation Policy
Membership is on a 6-month rolling contract. After the minimum subscription period of 6 months, the subscription will continue indefinitely on a monthly basis until cancelled. Membership may be suspended for up to 6 consecutive months for a fee of £20 a month. Cancellation notice may be given 30 days prior to final billing cycle (month 5 of subscription period). Thereafter, 30 days prior to the next billing cycle.

We reserve the right to make changes to our schedule. Whenever possible changes such as teacher substituations, cancelled classes, time changes, closure for holiday, will be reflected on our online schedule.
If you have booked in for a class that is cancelled or the time has changed you will be notified by email. We will not give notification for teacher substitutions.
The decision to perform any form of exercise remains that of the individual and the tutors cannot accept any responsibility for problems during or outside the class. If you are in any doubt as to your fitness level, or whether a class is suitable for you, please consult a GP beforehand.
The Shala does not accept liability for theft or damage to personal possessions at the centre. We recommend that all valuables are taken to the studio with you.
Payment of a deposit is required upon booking – no contract shall exist until an initial payment has been made. The payment schedule for each retreat is detailed on the website. Failure to comply with the payment schedule may result in the Shala exercising its right to cancel your booking(s) and to charge the applicable cancellation charges set out below.
When transferring money to our bank, please put your family name as reference and confirm by email that the transfer has been made.
Though our spaces are limited, we will endeavour to treat cancellations sympathetically. As such if a replacement booking is secured from a wait list, monies will be returned (minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost of the retreat). If a replacement is not found, deposit(s) paid according to the payment schedule will be retained. Cancellation of your booking, for whatever reason, should be notified to us in writing by email.
